Helen Tyndall Wood peacefully left to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Amidst the loving prayers of family and caregivers, Helen inspired the love of Christ within all who surrounded her until the very last moments of her life. Born in Nashville, Arkansas on July 8, 1918,

Helen lived 98 amazing years of service to her family, friends, church and her Savior. Helen, a beloved wife to her husband, Sam Wood until his death in 1985. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved spending time with her family, but still made time for regular Meals on Wheels deliveries, often taking the grandkids with her. Helen's generosity extended beyond her church and family, giving financial support for young people's education, advising and fundraising for Houston Baptist University and directly funding the needs of individuals from all walks of life without seeking or receiving recognition.
