Betty Joyce Nerienz Blott, formerly of Conroe, passed away in her Sugar Land home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in the Quarry Community of Washington County on July 27, 1935 to the late Karl Emil and Lillie (Green) Nerienz. She attended Snook and Somerville schools. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ace McMinn Jr., and her foster brother Billy Ray Kilgore.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Turner Blott, and her daughter...

Betty Joyce Nerienz Blott, formerly of Conroe, passed away in her Sugar Land home on Thursday, May 18, 2017 and went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was born in the Quarry Community of Washington County on July 27, 1935 to the late Karl Emil and Lillie (Green) Nerienz. She attended Snook and Somerville schools. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Ace McMinn Jr., and her foster brother Billy Ray Kilgore.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, James Turner Blott, and her daughter JoAnn McMinn of Rosenberg. Betty was a devoted wife and mother and loyal friend. She was known for her generosity and her baking, especially her banana bread. Visitors seldom left her home empty handed. She was a member of Parkway United Methodist Church, where she made many friends. The family would like to thank Pastor Matt Neely for his support, as well as her caregivers and friends for their support, especially Iveth Flores, Lupita Cervantes, Rosa Rodriguez, Nathan Flora and Jonathan Willman. Visitation will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. with a graveside service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Somerville, Texas at 2:30 P.M.
